2001 Stellar Awards Announced

Yolanda Adams’ “Mountain High*Valley Low” was named CD of the Year, and she won the artist, overall and contemporary female vocalist, and music video honors.
Fred Hammond took three 2001 Stellar Awards for Best
Male Vocalist, Best Contemporary Male Vocalist and Producer of the Year.

He was also nominated for Outstanding Contemporary Gospel Artist for an
NAACP Image Award as well as a GRAMMY in the Best Contemporary Soul Gospel
Album category for Purpose By Design. Hammond just received eight Gospel Music Association nods for
his work as artist, writer and produce.
