The JC-TV network will launch a full-fledged reality show based exclusively on Selectric recording artist, Pivitplex.
The series will premier today, March 9th 2006 at 3:30pm PST / 6:30pm EST. Viewers will also be able to catch a repeat every Saturday at 3:30pm PST / 6:30pm EST. Each week, the network will air a new episode showcasing the trials and triumphs of the band as they learn what it takes to make it.
³I¹m excited to be working with Pivitplex. The band has already established a huge and growing fan-base and we¹re honored to be a part of the journey. The true-life adventures highlighted in the show are sometimes comical, challenging and rewarding but are always real and unscripted,² said JC-TV Vice President of Programming, Mark McCallie.
Originally created as an up-and-coming rock band documentary, the reality show will air worldwide. The series is a first for the Christian market.
³What we do is far from glamorous but in every situation we¹re driven to glorify God and we¹re ready to share those moments with our fans and JC-TV viewers,² lead singer Scott Brownson commented.
Pivitplex¹s debut album, Under Museum Quality Glass, was released in 2002. The first single, ³You Know,² earned the band their first top 10 hit on Air One Radio Network. The album went on to sell over 20,000 units and supported over four years of solid touring.
Currently comprised of Scott Brownson (lead vocals, guitar), Joby Rudolph (guitar, keyboard) and Josh Ogle (bass), Pivitplex will release their sophomore effort, The King In A Rookery, on Selectric Records July 11th, 2006. The record was produced by GRAMMY award winning producer, Jason Burkum (Audio Adrenaline, The Swift, Casting Pearls and Tree63).
