Steven Curtis Chapman was named along with Rosie O'Donnell, Dave Thomas, and 133 regional honorees who were scheduled to receive the congressional award on September 11, to recognize their pro-adoption efforts. Chapman's music video "When Love Takes You In" premieres at the event. Chapman and his wife adopted a daughter from China and created a foundation to help others adopt.

Essential Records' new pop group True Vibe received a warm reception by the multitude of teens participating recently in two Radio Disney Live! World Tour 2001 events. The tour featured True Vibe in concert at the 25,000-person capacity Tweeter Center in Philadelphia and the 17,500-person capacity PNC Bank Art Center in New York (Holmdel, NJ) along with artists such as A*Teens, The Baha Men and Krystal. Other high profile events featuring True Vibe include the group's appearances at major shopping malls in conjunction with The CoverGirl Model Experience Contest.
