The 2009 Let Freedom Sing Spectacular will feature country /gospel music superstar Wynonna Judd as the headlining musical guest on July 4 at Riverfront Park. More Wynonna below!

6/12/09 Gospel group Gold City will appear at Music City Sing in Nashville on June 18th. Music City Sing will be held at the Eastland Baptist Church with special guest Gold City, Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1215 Gallatin Road in Nashville. Call 615-262-9424 for details.

6/10/9 Tammy Trent co-hosted the Family Friendly Morning Show with Doug & Kim on Monday. On the show Tammy announced she will appear on the cover of the August issue of Homelife Magazine which will also carry an article she wrote.

6/4/9 The upcoming debut, the self-titled project from Mikeschair bows July 14th on Curb Records. Mikeschair will also be performing in concert on June 17 in Nashville.

6/3/9 A benefit with Sixpence None the Richer, Mindy Smith, Griffin House and others will be June 4, 2009, at Rocketown, 401 6th Ave. S., Nashville, Tenn. from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are available at www.ticketweb.com.

6/2/9 New Fervent Records band Sidewalk Prophets will make their CBA industry debut on Aug. 25 with the release of These Simple Truths. Produced by Ian Eskelin, These Simple Truths centers on the hope that Christ’s love provides. Sidewalk Prophets’ first album single, “The Words I Would Say,” is scheduled for release to radio June 19.

Aaron Minick, a Nashville-based gospel artist, just released his solo project, The Gospel: A Collection of Sacred Hymns and Spirituals in May.

6/1/09 Christian country artist Clay Dustin will have a booth at CMA Fan Fest this year at the R.O.P.E. Spectacular on June 11th.

Nashville's Amy Grant and Vince Gill will host an evening of music at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, on Monday, June 8, 2009, at 8 p.m., honoring wounded warriors and launching the nationwide Challenge America initiative. Special musical guests slated to join Grant and Gill at the Monday night Kennedy Center launch event include Michael McDonald, Alison Krauss, Darius Rucker, Melinda Doolittle and Mac McAnally with NY Times bestselling author Stephen Mansfield.

With A Little Help From My Friends, which takes place on June 9th, will celebrate the 42nd anniversary of The Beatles' Sergeant Pepper album. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School. Performers include Phil Keaggy, The WannaBeatles, and Apple legend/author Ken Mansfield.
