The Newsboys are scheduled to do select concerts in support of their recent greatest hits release to commemorate their 12-year career as one of the most popular bands in Christian music. From mid-May through mid-June and again for the last three weeks in September, they will be the top-billed band on Festival Con Dios, a first annual 6000-seat traveling mobile amphitheatre one day festival also featuring Audio Adrenaline, Supertones, and seven other bands. Newsboys will also be seen at certain youth conferences, fairs, festivals, concerts, colleges, and special events throughout the summer and fall. A new studio album in due out in November with a tour in the works for the first quarter of 2002.

The Waiting has completed their new CD, Wonderfully Made, which will release on InPop in August.

Christian music’s top-selling band of all time, Petra, continues its Grammy-award winning "Double Take" tour featuring the greatest hits of their 28-year career. Having sold more than six million albums, earned numerous awards, and sold out three of their last four concerts, Petra is set to release a long awaited new modern worship CD in early fall on InPop.

Carman's Heart Of A Champion Tour is officially over. Starting in the fall of 2000 and just ending in mid-April 2001, the tour drew a total attendance of 614,685!

ZOEgirl was on the west coast recently, when they visited the Crystal Cathedral and performed on Hour Of Power (4/29). Airdate TBA. The trio also visited some key teen publications, meeting with Teen People and Teen Magazine, as well as the staff of R&R Magazine

LaRue debuted their video, "Jaded," from their sophomore project, Transparent, on The Disney Channel this past weekend! The brother/sister duo had their video voted on to air on the channel through Disney's website and garnered only 200 votes less than Backstreet Boys video, "The Call." This is LaRue's second video to air on The Disney Channel. LaRue has also had a busy month of Spring touring with Rebecca St. James and Tree63 on the Transform tour. In-stores with Christian Supply, Perfect Peace, and LifeWay all have been huge successes in April with each in-store drawing over 250 people.

Michael W. Smith is preparing to release his first Praise and Worship recording. The worship event/album recording will be held at the Carpenter's Home Church in Lakeland, FL, on June 1st. Smitty's desire is not to make an album, but to record a worship experience. The album (title TBD) will release to stores on September 11, but you can buy part of the worship experience early; beginning on July 17th a 4 song EP will be exclusively available for those consumers who pre-purchase the worship album. Smitty led worship recently at the 100 Days of the New Presidential Administration "Prayer, Thanksgiving & Praise," a city-wide (all churches & denominations) time of prayer and praise, hosted by Smith.

Joy Williams latest single "I Believe In You" is still gaining attention across the country. After GMA Week a new radio version of the single was shipped out to the stations. Joy was extremely busy during GMA this year and is gearing up for her own release date - July 24th.

Jake is creating a buzz with their latest single "Believer." Jake may be coming to a town near you soon! Their summer is packed with festivals and Summer Jam tour dates.
