This year Lipscomb University will honor America’s military veterans on November 10 and 11 with a visit by noted military historian and author James Lee McDonough. Lipscomb’s Beaman Library will host a Veterans Day book-signing for the well-known Civil War historian at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 11. The event is open to the public and free of charge. The Nashville Christian university is planning several other gatherings for alumni veterans on campus as well as at the Veterans Day Parade in Nashville. Details at www.lipscomb.edu.
Lipscomb University students, alumni and faculty who have served in the military will also march in Nashville’s Veterans’ Day Parade. This marks the first time in recent history that a Nashville university has featured its veterans in the parade, according to parade authorities. Details at www.lipscomb.edu.
