Indie Extreme Opens Nashville Office

Indie Extreme, a Houston-based independent record label management firm that works with musical acts such as folk legend Judy Collins, hit CCM artist Matt Brouwer and GMA Group of the Year The Sonflowerz, has opened an office in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood. Vinny Ribas, the company’s director of artist and label relations, will oversee the office at 9000 Church St., Suite B103. Indie Extreme, which was founded in 2006, currently represents more than 20 clients, including independent musical acts, record labels, and a distribution company. The firm provides administrative and managerial services such as correspondence, bookkeeping, CD/merchandise fulfillment, marketing, publicity, database development, web site development, management/maintenance, e-commerce management, and the coordination of vendor services.

The Remix is heading into its second season this September 15th on the NRB Network with big names. Shane & Shane, Daniel Kirkley, Jaime Jamgochian, Superchick, Jake Smith, Jars of Clay, and more. The launch date for the new season of The Remix on the NRB Network is September 15th. The NRB is available on DIRECTV channel 378. The JCTV Network will then begin airing the second season of The Remix on September 21st.

8/15/7 Amy Grant Catalog Available on iTunes

For the first time in her award-winning, 30 year career, Amy Grant’s catalog will be available on iTunes and other DSP’s starting this week! 16 new catalog titles are available for the first time starting today, completely re-mastered, free of digital rights management (DRM) restrictions, and available at bit rates up to CD quality. iTunes rolled out the red carpet for Amy this week with not only a launch of 16 previously unavailable catalog titles, but also multiple features related to her catalog.

8/13/7 Former Kutless Members Create Label

Following their departure from the platinum-selling band Kutless, founding member Kyle Mitchell and bass player Kyle Zeigler announced the first project release under their new label imprint, Verbatim Records, based in Vancouver, WA. Newcomer Logan Martin's debut CD Colorless will release nationwide via Infinity Distribution Sept. 25, 2007. Verbatim hasn’t yet announced further 2007 releases, but they’ve confirmed there are a number of other artists and bands in the production process.

Todd Agnew presents Better Questions Tour with World Vision

Ardent/INO Records artist Todd Agnew announced plans to partner with World Vision for his headline tour this fall, promoting his latest project, Better Questions. Agnew’s partnership with World Vision kicked off with a recent trip to Zimbabwe.

Best-selling Inpop Records duo Shane & Shane and BEC Records’ artist/producer/composer Bebo Norman announce the dates for the “Pages Tour 2007” that features special guest and Sparrow Records artist Shawn McDonald. The tour launches Aug. 21, seven days before the release of Shane & Shane’s first studio album in nearly three years, Pages, and travels to over 45 cities, including such major markets as Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, San Diego, Phoenix, St. Louis and more before wrapping up Nov. 17 in Atlanta, GA.
