Going to bed early can be a very painful correction when you are little. The only problem is, younger children have a difficult time associating something they did wrong earlier in the day with the punishment in the evening. Perhaps you could try making a clock out of a paper plate, a brass brad and some construction paper. At the beginning of the day set the hands to their regular bedtime. Throughout the day whenever they throw a toy, run away from you, hit their brother, or whatever youre working on, then move the clock hands back five minutes. At the end of the day, the time on the paper plate is their bedtime.
