In keeping with the tradition of celebrating Holy Week, Bluefield
College will host its traditional Good Friday Service on campus, Friday,
March 29, along with an Easter Sunrise Service, Sunday, March 31.

The traditional Good Friday Service will begin at 10 a.m. in Harman
Chapel and will feature the drama ministry of Re: Creations, led by Charles
and Rebecca Reese, BC instructors of theatre arts.

Rebecca holds a bachelor's degree in communication arts from Georgetown
College and a master's degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Charles earned his bachelor's degree in speech and theatre from Samford
University and his master's degree in fine arts from the University of
Tennessee. He has also completed all of his class work toward a Ph.D. in
theatre from Florida State University.

The Good Friday program will also include scripture reading and the
draping of the cross in front of Harman Chapel.

The Easter Sunrise Service will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 31
outside Harman Chapel. BC's Dr. Eddie Stepp, assistant professor of
Christian studies, will offer the devotion for the Sunday service. The
Sunday program will also include music and scripture reading.

As part of the Easter Sunrise celebration, the college will host a
Sunday buffet luncheon, beginning at noon. The lunch buffet will include the
choice of a carved meat or two other main entrees, along with a variety of
vegetables, a large salad bar, a medley of desserts and an assortment of
beverages.

The buffet costs just $5.98. Children six to 12 years of age pay just
half price, and kids less than five years of age eat for free. Church guests
who bring their church bulletin will receive a 10 percent discount on the
regular $5.98 price.

Area residents are invited to join the college for both programs. For
