Actor Mel Gibson is currently in Mexico filming the movie Apocalypto, set 500 years ago in Central America. The Apocalypto cast will feature unknown performers native to the region of Mexico where the movie is being filmed.
Following the pattern of using authentic dialogue he set with The Passion, dialogue in the new movie will be spoken in an obscure Mayan dialect.
Gibson met with Mexican President Vicente Fox on Wednesday and donated $1 million to help Mexico recover from Hurricane Stan.
